Last updated: 20 March 2026

About VerifAI

VerifAI is an AI-powered fact-checking tool that analyses social media videos from platforms including Instagram Reels and TikTok. By accessing or using VerifAI (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated from the United Kingdom. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Beta service

VerifAI is currently in early access beta. The Service is provided free of charge during this period. We reserve the right to introduce pricing, modify features, or discontinue the Service at any time. We will endeavour to give reasonable notice of any significant changes.

As a beta product, the Service may contain bugs, produce inaccurate results, or be unavailable from time to time. Your use of the Service during this period is at your own risk.

AI disclaimer and accuracy

VerifAI uses artificial intelligence to fact-check content. AI systems can and do make mistakes. Fact-check results are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, medical, journalistic, or professional advice of any kind.

You should not rely solely on VerifAI's outputs when making decisions. Always consult the provided source links and exercise your own judgement. VerifAI accepts no liability for decisions made based on its fact-check results.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Circumvent, misuse, or attempt to manipulate the fact-checking results.
  • Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or violates third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Scrape, crawl, or automate requests to the Service in a way that disrupts its operation.
  • Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal under applicable law.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Impersonate any person or organisation when submitting content.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Service for users who violate these terms.

Third-party platforms and content

VerifAI analyses publicly available content from third-party platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with these platforms.

The sources cited in fact-check results are third-party publications. We do not control or endorse the content of those sources and link to them solely to provide evidence for fact-check verdicts.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service does not violate the terms of any third-party platform from which you retrieve content.

Intellectual property

The VerifAI name, logo, design, and all original content on the website are owned by VerifAI and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without prior written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting a URL, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing you with fact-check results.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VerifAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or reputational harm.

Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months (which, during the free beta period, is zero).

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
